乳がん予防薬が普及しない理由（New York Times）

いくつかの副作用はあるものの、
乳がんの発生確率を有意に減らし、骨粗鬆症も予防する効果があり、
それらの効果のベネフィットの方が副作用のコストを十分に上回ると思われる薬(tamoxifen)がずいぶん前からあり、
この薬についての情報は対象となる人々には十分に与えられているのに、
なかなか薬の普及が進まない、
という話。
プロスペクト理論っぽい話だ。
